Description: Project Intersect at the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy offers a 6-week trauma-informed caregiver workshop that educates caregivers on the impact of trauma on child development, attachment, emotions and behaviors of children in their care.
Our workshop provides a safe space for caregivers to access compassionate training, learn concrete strategies to manage daily and ongoing parenting challenges, enhance relationships with their children, develop self-care strategies and build a network of support and connection with other caregivers.
Target Audience: Caregivers of children who have experienced trauma
Topics Covered Include:
- Trauma’s impact on brain development and behaviors
- Recognizing trauma reactions
- Tools to respond and manage challenging behaviors
- Strategies to build connection & communication with your children
Cost: Free
Commitment: This is a 6-week course and participants are strongly encouraged to attend all 6 sessions for maximum learning and impact.
